Tuncurry Beach Bowling Club has given a boost to five local sporting groups with sponsorship that will help them stay competitive and grow their sports in the future.

The club has donated funds to the major sporting groups in the area including the Forster Tuncurry Dolphins Rugby Union Club, the Forster Tuncurry Jockey Club and the Great Lakes Pearl Dragons.

Tuncurry Bowling Club is also the major sponsor for 2015 of the Forster Tuncurry Hawks Rugby League Football Club and the Forster Tuncurry Junior Rugby League Football Club.

Secretary Manager Terry Green says that sponsoring other sporting groups is a way to provide valuable support to the local community.

“As a sporting club we know the important role that sport plays in keeping active and in building social links no matter what your age,” Terry said. “All these clubs play a vital part in out community and we are proud to be in partnership with them and help them thrive. By supporting each other we can all be winners.”
